Integrated Management Strategies for Aspergillus and Fusarium Ear Cots of Corn

  • Wise, Kiersten (PI)

Grants and Contracts Details

Description

Mycotoxins produced by Aspergillus flavus (aflatoxins) and Fusarium verticillioides (fumonisins) chronically contaminate corn grain and thus cause economic instability for producers and end-users. Further, effective control treatments are lacking and decontaminating grain is difficult and costly. Thus, the overarching goal of this Research/Extension project is to deliver a spectrum of new technologies and strategies that can be customized for individual grower needs.
