Description
CCLD will work with the Collaborative for Teaching and Learning in Louisville
and the Kentucky Writing Projects at UK, Morehead State University, Western
Kentucky University, and Murray State University to improve teachers' ability
to practice content literacy - an integrated literacy approach to improve
student comprehension and communication across academic disciplines. Every
sixth- and ninth-grade teacher in a participating school will attend a summer
institute and receive job-embedded mentoring from writing faculty and CTL
coaches during the school year.
