The goals of the Interdisciplinary Cardiovascular Training Program are βto offer our fellows a
breadth of exposure and a depth of expertise to acquire the essential aptitudes and tools to thrive in an aggressive academic environment." These remain unchanged. The training faculty members continue to focus their research in four major areas: mechanisms of arrhythmogenesis, arterial blood pressure (BP) regulation / hypertension, endothelial function/atherosclerosis and ischemic heart disease/cardiac myocyte dysfunction.
