Scope of Work

As MPI, Dr. Conwell will assist with all aspects of the referral and recruitment process for the
study including collaboration with the CPDPC site PIs, development of the plan for referrals and
implementation of study interventions, and collaboration with the National Pancreas Foundation
(NPF) around community referrals. He will also provide guidance on participant eligibility
throughout the trial enrollment period. After data collection is complete, Dr. Conwell will review
data output and contribute to manuscripts, and dissemination of findings through abstracts,
presentations, and publications.
Dr. Conwell will be working as a “national champion” with the NPF and its centers to help
facilitate community referrals from across the United States into the clinical trial. Dr. Conwell will
be available to assist with obtaining IRB human subjects research determination at the NPF
sites and conducting outreach about the study to NPF providers. During the trial, Dr. Conwell
will assist with communicating to NPF providers to help facilitate the study at their individual
NPF Centers. In the very near future Dr. Conwell anticipates enrollment of subjects from
University of Kentucky via the NPF center platform.
Dr. Conwell will supervise a Research Coordinator at University of Kentucky who will assist with
the NPF enrollment centers including troubleshooting questions from NPF Centers, participant
eligibility throughout trial enrollment, collaboration with NPF, and helping facilitate community
referrals from across the US.
Throughout the trial, Dr. Conwell will participate in monthly Investigator meetings via Zoom.
