TITLE: Invest Blue - Supporting Kentucky Startups, Developing Venture Capital Managers OPPORTUNITY: EDA Build to Scale: 2023 Capital Challenge This project aims to facilitate deployment of private, risk-based capital into early-stage Kentucky startups, including startups within the UK community and those formed to commercialize technologies resulting from UK Research. The project will facilitate more equity-based investing opportunities within the UK community and extended network, increase the diversity of those individuals engaged in venture capital allocation, and launch the region''s first venture fund targeted at deep-tech, tough-tech, and social innovation focused startups. Invest Blue is a partnership between Keyhorse Capital at Kentucky Science and Technology Corporation and Launch Blue at the University of Kentucky.
