Description
1. Provide advice and subject matter support and expertise to the CDC on linkage of multiple data sets,
including but not limited to matching and linkage validation strategies and techniques for structuring
linked data. Data sets may include vital statistics, hospital discharge, EMS PDMP, criminal justice, and
Census Bureau social demographics, among others.
2. Assist the CDC in responding to questions from federal, state, and local communities related to data
linkage.
3. Provide the CDC with advice on strategies and recommendations for supporting data linkage activities,
including collaborating with partners and other funded entities who support this work.
4. With CDC and/or subject matter experts, collaborate on the development of technical guidance for
completion of data linkage indicators; collaborate on other products with the CDC as appropriate.
5. Provide support and expertise in the form of trainings, presentations, and guidance materials for CDC
staff and/or state/local communities.
