IPA: Durability and Mechanisms of Dengue Vaccine and Infection Mediated Immunity

Grants and Contracts Details

Description

Abstract: The proposal will evaluate durable type-specific serum antibody, memory B cell, and cytotoxic T cell immunity and protection in an adoptive transfer NSG murine model to Dengue virus infection. We will be comparing immunity in human samples from seronegative and seropositive TDV/TAK003 vaccinees and veterans with people recovered from secondary infection, who are usually protected from severe disease. The work is timely, as TAK003 is pending approval in the EU and may be submitted for FDA approval as soon as 2023. The research work will occur at Saint Louis University.
