Project Summary IR-4 Oomycete Pathogens of Hemp (2022) IR-4 Southern Region c/o University of Florida Nicole Gauthier, Dept of Plant Pathology This study includes screening of fungicide Ranman against various Pythium isolates in greenhouse hemp. The product Ranman 400 SC (ISK, active ingredient cyazofamid) at two rates: 3oz/A and 6 oz/A. Controls will include water (NTC), PAP700 (Sepro), MBI-306 (Marrone), and Rootshield Plus WP (Bioworks). Hemp plants will be grown from seed and tested at the seedling stage. Inoculations will occur as root drenches at 1x105 zoospores Pythium spp. when plants develop their first set of true leaves. Screening will take place at the Ag North greenhouse GH4Z3 during Fall 2022 and Spring 2023. Disease incidence and severity will be documented, and root mass will be compared. Experiments will be repeated twice. Data will be analyzed for the final report.
