Grants and Contracts Details
Description
This proposal has been prepared in response to a request from staff of the Kentucky
Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) for a proposal and cost estimate for conducting a Phase I archaeological
survey of areas that will be impacted by construction of an extension of Brannon Road in Jessamine
County, Kentucky. The extension will begin at the existing end of Brannon Road (just east of Lauderdale
Drive) and continue easterly to terminate at Tates Creek Road, a distance of about 11,800 feet (3,600
meters). The work that will be conducted is intended to provide an inventory of all cultural resources
within the project area and to provide an evaluation each resource’s potential eligibility for listing on the
National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The work will also include evaluation of the documentary
and cartographic sources pertaining to the project area and its vicinity.
