Abstract Kentucky’s regional AT centers are funded through the Assistive Technology (AT) Act of 1998, as amended in 2022. The U.S. Department of Education distributes these funds to the Kentucky O ice of Vocational Rehabilitation under the state grant program, Kentucky Assistive Technology Services Network (KATS). KATS supports 5 regional Assistive Technology Resource Centers (ATRC''s) to provide statewide assistive technology activities of making devices, equipment, demonstration, and training available to people of any age with any disability. As an ATRC, the HDI Center for Assistive Technology Services (CATS) will continue to build and maintain a lending library of assistive devices to be used across life areas. Project sta will receive durable medical equipment donations and redistribute it to Kentuckians who need it. The center will have ongoing demonstration available to all Kentuckians, and provide training to professionals, consumers, and their families. CATS will provide research and training opportunities for students and outreach and direct service to the communities of Central Kentucky.
