KCTRP: Evaluation and Calibration of a New Bearing Capacity Model 07-340

Grants and Contracts Details

Description

OBJECTIVES: The objectives of this study are to evaluate and calibrate a new design model that has been developed for analyzing the bearing capacity of flexible pavements constructed on soil subgrades. The major intent of the study is to validate and implement the new model. Computer software containing the programmed equations of the model has already been developed. Instructions and training will be provided as appropriate. If this study is successfu~ then a new approach for designing flexible pavements will be available
