Grants and Contracts Details

Description

OBJECTIVES: Pilot the development of GIS models that use existing data such as underlying geology, slope, and aspect to predict the likely locations of particular endangered plant species. Potential candidate species are Arabis perstellata (Braun's rockcress), Arenaria cumberlandensis (Cumberland sandwort), and/or Solidago Albopilosa (white-haired goldenrod). Use the existing knowledge of biologists to build and revise the predictive model, in cooperation with Kentucky State Nature Preserves Commission personnel.
