The University of Kentucky (Grantee) will use grant funds from the Energy and Environment Cabinet to purchase specialized equipment for manufacturing and testing Li-ion batteries and other electrochemical energy storage systems and up-fit for the Kentucky Argonne Battery Manufacturing Research and Development Center to be located in a new Energy Building located on the Spindletpp property in Fayette County, Kentucky.
