Grants and Contracts Details
Description
These funds are from the Kentucky Trans. Cabinet and represent research activity primarily directed at improving the highway transportation system in Kentucky. The Center has been the Cabinet's primary research agent for over 25 years. We are primarily involved in applied research in order to address critical issues and problems that confront Kentucky. We use our full time research staff, students and faculty to conduct the various studies which address issues covering a wide variety of disciplines (construction, environment, geotech, pavement, materials, traffic/safety, Inteligent Transportation Systems, policy, finance and structures). In addition these reources have contributed to the Center's ability to address other transportation issues on a national basis and greatly enhanced the exposure of research staff and faculty throughout the country.
