ABSTRACT: UK KEDS – First Steps FY21 The overall purpose of the Kentucky Early Childhood Data System (KEDS) is to support the collection, reliability, and analysis of assessment data from approved Curriculum-Based Assessments (CBAs) to provide varied reports to First Steps (FS). These reports include the progress of children on three Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) child outcomes, two OSEP target summary statements, Kentucky’s Early Childhood Standards (EC Standards), and the annual report of child progress for children with parental consent for inclusion in the Kentucky Longitudinal Data System (KLDS). Goals & Deliverables (list specific deliverables; use additional sheet if necessary) 1. Support the collection, reliability, and analysis of assessment data from all FS providers for approved CBAs; 2. Provide technical assistance to FS providers for the collection of child demographic and assessment data; 3. Provide reports to FS for: 4. OSEP outcome and target data for exiting children with Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs) by POE and by state; 5. KY EC Standards reporting by POE and by state; 6. Compilation of a report on child outcome progress for the KY Center for Statistics (KYSTATS) including OSEP child outcome data for each exiting child for whom parental consent is received; 7. Complete platform upgrade and plan platform revisions based on newly released revised assessments; and 8. Complete website revisions.
