Kentucky Green and Healthy Schools

Upon full execution of this agreement, the University of Kentucky shall continue the Green and Healthy Schools program. This year, the Center employed an individual to spearhead the effort and would like to continue with that implementation plan, expanding to new schools and continuing to support current schools. New schools will conduct inventories and identify school-based environmental improvement projects. Schools who will be in the program for the second year, will conduct a community-based project, working with a business or industry project to learn more about the environment in their community, conduct service learning project or make community improvements. The funds will be used to employ the same individual, support his travel and support schools' projects.
