    Grants and Contracts Details

    Description

Abstract For the KHIE Incentive Programs, Kentucky Regional Extension Center will provide the following: 1. Provider Assistance Program: Kentucky REC will provide Pharmacies, Eligible Providers (EPs), Eligible Hospitals (EHs) and Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) the opportunity to apply for an incentive to offset the vendor fees associated with connecting to KHIE. Potential awardees are required to submit a Provider Assistance Program Application to the Kentucky REC. Applications will be accepted through June 30, 2021. If approved, EHs and CAHs may be awarded up to $15,000 and Pharmacies and Eps may be awarded up to $8,000. Incentives will be awarded on a first come first serve basis until all funds are depleted. Incomplete applications will not be considered, and only one incentive will be awarded per business entity. 2. Electronic Laboratory Reporting Incentive Program: In collaboration with DPH, KHIE is offering eligible healthcare facilities the opportunity to apply for an incentive to offset the vendor fees associated with improving or establishing an Electronic Laboratory Reporting (ELR) interface to the KHIE. The ELR Incentive Program was created to help labs, including labs within hospitals and healthcare facilities, mitigate the challenges associated with establishing or upgrading an ELR HL7 interface with KHIE. The objective is to reduce the financial burden to help improve Public Health reporting and the secure exchange of patient health information.
