Description
Purpose: The Unviversity of Kentucky Center for Rural Health will maintain operation of the
Kentucky Homeplace Project to educate and assist rural Kentucians who live in medically
underserved areas access appropriate health care, including preventative care. The project
will continue to focus on the use of para-professional "Family Health Care Advisiors" (FHCA)
to provide these services. FHCAs complete needs assessments of individuals and families
in order to address immediate medical issues in themost cost effective manner.
