Description
The Kentucky Kinship Information, Navigation, and Support (KY-KINS) program is a programmatic endeavor designed by researchers, trainers, and staff at the University of Kentucky Training Resource Center (TRC),
and is designed to be a complementary programmatic component to the continuum of kinship navigator services in Kentucky.
The overarching goal of this initiative is to connect kinship providers with a paraprofessional peer supporter to assist in addressing challenges, and foster the development of a vibrant, responsive support network for kinship caregivers.
Ancillary goals include: establishing new, and supporting existing, kinship support group networks throughout the state and conducting statewide outreach regarding information pertinent to kinship caregivers.
