Kentucky Project AWARE - Year 5

Scope of Services: The University of Kentucky Research Foundation on behalf of The University of Kentucky Center on Trauma and Children (CTAC) will partner with the Kentucky Department of Education, Kentucky AWARE, in the creation of trauma-informed care learning collaboratives for:(1) educators across the state; (2) specialists from educational cooperatives across the state; and (3) school-based mental health professionals. Goals/Deliverables: 1) Deliver three (BASIC) learning collaboratives on Trauma Informed Care for Educators throughout the state of Kentucky for educational cooperatives and interested alternative programs at locations identified by the Kentucky Department of Education. These learning collaboratives will consist of a pre-work preparation phase, face to face learning sessions, face to face or phone consultation on implementation (depending on location and preference). UK CTAC will provide all learning materials, and facilitate all consultation sessions. 2) Providing ongoing support for the previous TTT cohort via a learning collaborative focused on implementation and sustainability 3) Launch two, new Train the Trainer learning collaboratives for educators, school based mental health professionals and/or coop representatives including a pre]work preparation phase, face to face learning sessions, face to face or phone consultation on implementation (depending on location and preference). *Evaluation of the learning session will include an assessment of content mastery, and a process evaluation of the learning collaborative so that participant feedback can inform the process in real time. Data collected will include (but not be limited to) the number of TICinformed trainings delivered by CTAC, pre and posttest change scores, the number and type of individuals attending CTAC trainings, frequency of' participant meeting attendance, number of alternative programs participating in CTAC trainings.
