Grants and Contracts Details
Description
The Kentucky Small Business Development Center program will continue to address SBA initiatives along with local and regional needs through a determined effort to provide the highest quality service in support of small businesses in Kentucky.
The 2013-14 year will present challenges due to funding cuts. KSBDC is facing lower core funding levels due to sequestration and university cuts. The University of Kentucky and some regional universities are cutting funds for the 2013-14 and required salary increases are increasing expenses. These budget changes will impact programming through lower staffing levels, decreased travel, fewer training and consulting resources, lower professional development resources, and elimination of some small business recognition events.
