KHAQI-C Data Aggregation

Grants and Contracts Details

Description

The objective of KHAQI-C is to improve patient outcomes in the Louisville area and to foster best practices by collaboratively adopting and promoting physician quality measures. In 2010, the fifth annual consolidated measurement reports will be created and distributed to approximately 1000 providers in the Louisville area (Jefferson, Oldham, & Bullitt counties in KY; Floyd, Clark, Harrison, & Scott counties in IN) and an additional 3,200 providers throughout Kentucky. Anthem, Humana, and Passport Health Plans, and Kentucky Medicaid will provide data derived from their annual HEDIS submissions. The data will be aggregated in a format that is easy to read and understand and will be distributed to area providers on a variety of HEDIS Effectiveness of Care measures. This aggregated data will allow providers to view a more accurate and comprehensive report of their personal performance compared to a regional average and benchmark. The consolidated data will comply with the protocol of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Identifiers will be used, as necessary, to match information across the payers' data sets
