KHIT 116 Retrofit Pier cap on I-64 Bridge over Kendall Springs Rd & Licking River 006B00048L&R - I-64 over Kendall Springs Road and Licking River in Bath County, D09 The objective is to replace all deteriorated/delaminated concrete needs to be removed from the retrofit locations. Clean all exposed steel of rust and prime with a protective coating. The CatStrong application surfaces need to be brought back to approximately the original shape of the pier caps; columns and beam(s) using approved repair mortar prior to fabric application If deteriorated sections, other than the ones identified in this plan, are detected during the repair, a retrofit design will be prepared by KTC. The bridge joint over the piers will need to undergo regular maintenance to prevent concrete deterioration and delamination of the CatStrong fabric.
