Abstract KHIT 161, Kentucky Mileage Based User Fee (MBUF) Study • Develop case study to evaluate Kentucky’s weight distance tax in its current form. o Document current WDT processes and lessons learned from the WDT. o Analyze roles and responsibilities for Kentucky’s weight distance tax stakeholders. • Evaluate potentially beneficial adjustments to the current WDT system. • Conduct impact analysis of potential changes to the WDT program on Kentucky agencies. Prepare a memo outlining how to leverage the current Kentucky system into a statewide MBUF policy, including potential for passenger vehicle implementation.
