Description
This proposal has been prepared in response to a req:~est from staff of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) for a proposal and cost estimate for conducting a Phase I archaeological survey of Spot improvements along a section of US 31E in Larue County, Kentucky. The work that will be conducted is intended to provide an inventory of all cultural resCiurces within the project area and to provide an evaluation each resource's. potential eligibility for listing, on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). . The work will also include evaluation of the documentary and cartographic sources pertaining to the project area and its vicinity. Part of the work will be conducted on land owned by the
. National Park Service, within the Abraham Lincoln Boyhood Home in Knob Creek National Park. An Archaeological Resources Protection Act (ARPA) permit has b( en applied for through the National Park Service. Field work can not be conducted until the ARPA permIt has been issued.
