Description
The Kentucky Archaeological Survey will
1) Development of educational materials and participation in training courses intended to improve awareness
among Kentucky's law enforcement community of state and federal regulations that protect archaeological
resources, cemeteries, and/or graves.
2) Attending professional law enforcement conferences to disseminate educational materials developed in
initiative 1) above.
3) Outreach initiatives that provide guidance or technical assistance to Kentucky's law enforcement
community in the identification, assessment, andlor prosecution of cases involving the violation of state and
federal regulations that protect archaeological resources, cemeteries, and/or graves.
4) Contract with third-parties where necessary to facilitate the planning and implementation of the above-listed
training initiatives.
