Description
This research project explores factors to counter the prevailing narrative of "doom and gloom" prognoses regarding the future of libraries. Wide-ranging knowledge, research skills, expertise in locating and interpreting information, and library collections, make libraries a strong partner in developing new knowledge.
Key findings
The library profession ranks highly among most-trusted professions, which indicates libraries' enduring value. Research findings so far point to libraries' need to engage in partnerships and collaborations across broader communities and across industries as this wider exposure will help information professionals' skills and knowledge become more widely known.
