Lily Silverstein: Patient Health-Related Quality of Life After Traumatic Injury

Grants and Contracts Details

Description

Abstract The purpose of this study is to establish areas of need for intervention to improve health-related quality of life (HRQoL) for patients after traumatic injury. We aim to 1) determine whether anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), coping, and social support predict HRQoL in a population of patients after traumatic injury when controlling for covariates, as suggested by a new theoretical model for HRQoL after traumatic injury; 2) establish patient-perceived gaps in care after traumatic injury through focus groups.
