Grants and Contracts Details
Description
The purpose of this project is to establish a method for reliably assessing the long term
maintenance investment costs for Kentucky's Highway System. This project will use a
combination of multi-variate tools to establish the cost structures for various levels of
maintenance quality and road type, and then project those costs into various potential
future maintenance and construction strategies. This will enable KyTC to better
anticipate the overall maintenance costs of various long-term strategies concerning
highway quality and miles of new highway. Once established, this system should be
able to be re-used on a continuous basis, as new factors regarding road quality may
emerge.
