Grants and Contracts Details
Description
As technology advances, there is a continually increasing number of
somewhat unique or innovative approaches used as experimental features in transportation
design, construction, or maintenance phases. Provisions are generally made for short-term
evaluations of experimental features; however, most formal studies or projects are frequently
finalized in rather nominal time periods and no provisions are made for long-term evaluations.
Long-term evaluations provide significant information at relatively nominal costs.
