Work to be done on the sub-contract for Minimally Invasive Surgery Training: State of the Art: An Electronic Book: Notify authors (N=24) of chapter assignments Recruit authors for missing minimally invasive surgery (MIS) training content Correspond with authors regarding their chapters Provide feedback to authors about questions they have about their chapters Maintain Web-based schedule of activities-Check to see if milestones are being achieved Update Web-based milestone chart when appropriate Write initial outlines of chapters Contribute to the content of these chapters Create a Web-based list of relevant training references-journal articles, chapters, and books Update Web-based lists of references periodically Review and help edit chapter outlines and chapters Provide authors reference information upon request Distribute chapter outlines and chapters to all authors for their comment (if any)-This is mainly being done to help fill gaps in information in chapters, reduce redundancy and to eliminate or reduce conflicting information Make sure chapters are put on the Web-site when approved by authors Begin the process of "marketing" the free, Web-based training book to target audiences around the world Maintain and update information (references and content) as progress in MIS training is made
