Molecular Adjuvants to NALT Based Immunity to Anthrax

I will provide expertise in two experimental areas described in Aim 4 of the above-referenced grant. The first area involves polymeric immunoglobulin receptor-mediated transport of pIgA anti-PA antibodies in polarized respiratory epithelial cells. The second area involves measurement ofmRNA levels for pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines and Toll-like receptors, using real time RT-PCR. My laboratory has many years of experience in these areas. I will provide direction in development of these assay systems and provide training as needed. I will also be available to review data and assist in preparation of manuscripts.
