Grants and Contracts Details
Description
Molecular-Scale Design and Engineering of Nanostructured Organic Solar Cells is a project pulling together an international team of researchers to investigate new materials for ultra-low-cost solar cells. We will base our materials on electron-deficient acenes, as well as acenequinones. We will be taking significant direction in material design from both the theory and materials characterization groups to lead to materials with excellent stability, good processability as well as the necessary phase separation and transport properties necessary for photvoltaic operations.
