Description
The KY Transportation Center (KTC) has been requested by the KY Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) to monitor the installation and long-term performance of HDPE storm sewer pipe on College Street in Somerset, KY. The City of Somerset has a TSCP project and will be constructing the storm sewers with HDPE pipe. KYTC's current specification does not allow HDPE for storm sewer use. However, the City of Somerset will use flowable fill to backfill the pipe. KYTC has agreed to permit the installation provided the city will maintain the system and KTC will monitor the installation.
