Grants and Contracts Details
Description
The University of Kentucky will provide the coordination of educational activities associated with the
National Beef Cattle Evaluation Consortium. These activities will focus on improving the understanding
of beef cattle genetics among Extension professionals and university educators. Resources will be
developed and distributed to enhance the educational efforts of these educators. Additionally, direct
educational programs will be developed for beef producers that will allow for interactions between
these producers and the scientific community. These activities will allow for a two way flow of
information making the producers better aware of the latest selection tools and improving the
scientists' awareness of the needs of producers.
