Grants and Contracts Details
Description
The Kentucky Office of Rural Health (KORH), through a contract with the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services, will leverage extensive experience with the Kentucky State Loan Repayment Program (SLRP) and the vast amount of contacts in the state to further the reach and impact of the National Health Service Corp (NHSC). The NHSC mission is an organization responsible for selecting and awarding scholarships to qualified health-care professionals that will work in outpatient clinics to increase access to health care in statewide underserved areas. This work will be accomplished by networking with individuals and groups across the state listed in the NHSC, providing presentation and meeting materials, participation as a vendor at state conferences and meetings, providing technical assistance to potential participants, becoming a NHCS Ambassador, promote the use and understanding of NHSC to the public at large, including the NHSC logo on the Center of Excellence in Rural Health website, attendance at a minimum of two statewide conferences, and distribute NHSC materials.
