Store Choice
Aim 1) To study the determinants of store choice (i.e., where one chooses to shop), hypothesized as being associated with neighborhood disadvantage (percent poverty; households headed by women; percent male unemployment; and percent families receiving public assistance household characteristics) including SNAP participation and eligibility, while also controlling for food resources (number and type of food venues within neighborhood) among other factors.
Purchasing Habits
Aim 2) To study the determinants of purchasing habits (sugar-sweetened beverages, red meat, and potatoes), hypothesized as being associated with food environment resources and store choice among SNAP and SNAP eligible households.
