Nelson County: Route: US31 E Archaeological Deep Testing

This proposal has been prepared in response to a request from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) Division of Environmental Analysis for a scope of services and cost estimate for conducting a archaeological deep testing along a small section of the proposed relocated US-31E in Nelson County, Kentucky. The work that will be conducted is intended to provide an inventory of all deeply buried archaeological resources within this section of the project area and to provide an evaluation or each resource’s potential eligibility for listing on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The work will also include evaluation of the documentary and cartographic sources pertaining to the project area and its vicinity.
