Description

This proposal is to support the Nevada, Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) in its ongoing implementation of the Nevada Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (Nevada CANS 2.0) as its assessment and referral/triage tool in its trauma informed, evidence-based child welfare services. The following steps are proposed in the use of the Transformational Collaborative Outcomes Management (TCOM) framework for this process. 1. Nevada CANS 2.0 Training Support. Center for Innovation in Population Health (IPHC) staff will provide in-person Nevada CANS booster sessions to continue to support DCFS’ ongoing implementation of the tool. 2. Nevada CANS 2.0 Implementation Technical Assistance, Consultation and Support. • The IPHC Workforce Development lead, will provide technical assistance, consultation and support to DCFS leadership. • Other team members will provide o Technical Assistance and Consultation for CANS report feedback. o Coaching support and feedback to Nevada CANS supervisors, Certified Trainers, and other Nevada CANS users.
