Grants and Contracts Details
Description
There are many instances where new products or procedures are utilized on
an experimental basis throughout the state, this project would identify a mechanism to capture
these items and develop a central location for dissemination of information regarding their use.
In many instances, products are used at the district level and this information is not shared across
the state. Products which may have performed well are sometimes lost since the information
regarding the use may have not been documented outside of the local jurisdiction. Much of the
information relating to the use and performance ofthese features is contained in the individual
experience of Cabinet personnel. Many of these personnel have retired, or moved to other
positions; therefore the information may be lost. It is anticipated that this project would
complement the current Experimental Product Evaluation Program, by providing the means to
monitor products approved through the program. Currently the only method of documentation
regarding the performance of a product may be from the vendor and this information may be
anecdotal in nature.
