Grants and Contracts Details
Description
This proposal has been offered an award amount of $150,739 to support new surficial geologic mapping in Kentucky, in areas which have been identified by the Kentucky Geologic State Mapping Advisory Committee as priority areas that need more detailed surficial geologic mapping to meet societal needs. This proposal includes a one-year project intended to support the long-range goals identified by the SGMAC. For 2015-16, we are proposing to complete new surficial geologic maps for the Crestwood, Fisherville, Waterford, and LaGrange quadrangles in the northern Louisville Metro area of Kentucky. Originally 8 quadrangles were proposed with a requested budget of $299,105. The reduction in award amount necessitated a reduction in the scope of deliverable products.
