Performing Arts on Tour Grant FY 2005

This season the Singletary Center established a new "World Rhythms" series that establishes partnerships with University and community organizations. The grant request is for subsidizing artists fees for this series' 2004-2005 season. This new series, of two events currently, are targeting the South and Latin American University and community residents and the University Asian Society and Asian community in the region. The fall program is scheduled toward the end of September in order to capture the Lexington communities Hispanic celebration through the City's Parks and Recreation with whom this series is partnering. Another partnership for this series is with the University of Kentucky's Latin American Studies program.
