Phase 1A Archaeological Investigations-Mammoth Cave-Kentucky Avenue

To provide the National Park Service and MACA staff with the best evaluations of research potential, as well as guidance for conducting future archaeological research in the Study Area, UK-PAR proposes to conduct the archaeological investigations in sequential stages. Phase 1A will include visual inspection, photodocumentation, and minimal test excavation, while Phase 1B will include additional testing, if such is determined to be necessary based on the results of the Phase 1A work.
