Description

This proposal has been prepared in response to a request from Nick Ozburn of the Kentucky Department for Fish and Wildlife Resources (KDFWR) for a Phase I archaeological survey of a proposed stream restoration project on Ross Creek in Lee and Estill counties, Kentucky. This investigation is intended to provide specific information concerning the nature and distribution of archaeological resources within the project area. The work that is proposed will include a review of known archaeological sites and an evaluation of the extant documentary and cartographic sources pertaining to the project area. This information will serve as the basis for the completion of a Phase I archaeological survey, using primarily subsurface investigative techniques.
