Phase II Study to Evaluate the Impact on Biomarkers of Resveratrol Treatment in Patients with Mild to Moderate Alzheimer's Disease

Grants and Contracts Details

Description

The goal of this trial is to assess the effect of a stepped dose treatment of resveratrol on putative biomarkers of Alzheimer’s disease (AD); to assess the safety and tolerability of treatment with resveratrol over a 12-month period in participants with mild to moderate AD; and to assess the effect of a stepped dose treatment of resveratrol on rate of whole-brain and hippocampal atrophy, as well as regional cortical thinning, using volumetric magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Each site is expected to enroll 4-5 subjects. There is no maximum enrollment, however, you must obtain permission from the ADCS RES Project Management team prior to enrolling subjects beyond the contract amount. Ensure a current, fully executed Trial Protocol Attachment [TPA] is on file.
