Description

We will collect survey data detailing the presence/absence of Sudden Oak Death in samples taken from nurseries. The State Survey Coordinator will collect, process, and enter data into IPHIS and will generate reports. The Cooperator seeks to conduct a program which is expected to result in: *The safeguarding of Kentucky¡¦s nursery industry against Sudden Oak Death. *The safeguarding of Kentucky¡¦s oak lumber industry. *Providing survey data about this disease in Kentucky and keeping the markets open for Kentucky¡¦s nurseries and lumber industry. *Early detection and rapid response if the disease is found in the state. *Nursery conditions information entered into the IPHIS database. *Positive/negative data will be retained by the Cooperator and reported in the midyear and final reports
