OBJECTIVES: 1) Develop guidelines and reporting format for pipe video and laser/mandrel inspection,
2) Determine the penalties for pipe defects found during inspection, 3) Determine the feasibility of
developing a mechani sm to quickly analyze fl exible pipes deflected over 7.5% based on AASHTO LRFD

The deliverables of the project will be doc umented guidelines and specifications for in spection of
highway culverts. In addition, a documented process to evaluate cul velts with defl ections greater than
7.5% will be provided.
