Pipe Performance in Kentucky

Kentucky currently permits a variety of pipe materials to be utilized in various installations across the state. Due to the different physical characteristics of these materials, comparing the performance of these pipes may be difficult. The Transportation Center conducted a quick inventory of HDPE pipe installations in 2005 to document their performance to date. In addition four trial projects are being installed in 2006 to monitor the construction activities of various pipe materials.
