PL 40, County Road and City Street Finance (FHWA 536)

The purpose of this project is to complete form FHWA-536 for Kentucky for Fiscal Year 2019. This will cover the period of time between July 1, 2018 and June 30, 2019. To provide the needed data for this study, the Kentucky Transportation Center (KTC) will obtain pertinent information from fiscal year 2019 county and city financial data housed in the offices of the Kentucky Department for Local Government. Additionally, KTC staff will coordinate efforts with the League of Cities, the Lexington Fayette Urban County Government, and the City of Louisville to gather needed information from the financial statements from these sources. The needed information will be gathered from these sources and analyzed to complete Form FHWA- 536. KTC will make all reasonable attempts to complete Form FHWA-536 by January 31, 2021. However, ultimate completion of the form will be dependent upon availability of county and city financial information, access to this information at the individual agencies, and the actual start date of the contract. In the past the information needed has usually been compiled by coordinating agencies by December 31 of the year that the FHWA-536 form is due.
