Grants and Contracts Details
Description
This research project continues to document the distribution, relative abundance, population demographics, reproductive o
utput, and habitat use of black bears (Ursus americanus) in Kentucky. Data collected will be used to further our understanding
of bear population expansion, population growth, and provide necessary data to refine demographic parameters required of
predictive population models that evaluate the effects of varying harvest levels.
